PostnatalHow can I help you

I have found the most common postpartum issues to be exhaustion, fluctuating mood and inability to lose ‘baby weight’ which is intensified by sleep deprivation and exacerbated by changing levels of oestrogen, progesterone and thyroid hormones. Thankfully bringing your physiology back into balance can naturally address these symptoms.

During your pregnancy your body was entirely devoted to your baby meaning it is extremely common to feel utterly depleted. We will focus on replenishing your bodies reserves and help you to safely return to your pre-pregnancy weight so you can feel like the best version of yourself without compromising time with your family.

The hormonal freefall experienced by many new mothers is hard to preconceive and navigating it when you are in the eye of the storm can be extremely distressing for you and those around you. Postnatal depression is becoming a rising issue in our society and is something which I experienced first-hand with our first son, the symptoms and serious impact of which is not emphasised strongly enough. It is not just part of being a new mum and you do not have to struggle through that alone, I am here for you if you need me. All of my nutritional therapy programmes have the option of added psychotherapy sessions as an extra layer of support during this often turbulent time allowing you to focus on cherishing this magical time with your beautiful new baby.

Breastfeeding is a deeply personal choice and sometimes a luxury that some people don’t have even if they chose to. Should you want to or are able to breastfeed, the quality of your milk is very much driven by what you are consuming and your state of health so we will factor this into your dietary needs. Some women find it more difficult to breastfeed than others and it can be a period that leaves you feeling tired, uncomfortable and overwhelmed. Nutritional support will ensure you give your body the essentials to produce good quality breast milk.
